Each week we recognize those who died in the coming week of the previous year and include inspirational music. We also invite listeners to call or write to have their loved one remembered on the program.

Our weekly radio program, "Music & Memories", is broadcast every Sunday morning at 8 a.m. over KASM radio, 1150AM. Each week we recognize those who died in the coming week of the previous year, along with inspirational music.

Invitations to listen are sent out to each family we have served about a week before the program airs. But now we are able to post the script for this coming Sunday right here.

We invite you to have your loved one remembered on the program. Just fill out this form. Remember to send us the name and date of death about ten days ahead of time so that we can get them on the program the week before the anniversary date.

Music & Memories Broadcast for Sunday, April 5, 2026 Covering the deaths from April 5-11, 2026 Good morning and welcome to Music & Memories. This is Linda Sue, and I am the grief specialist at Patton-Schad Funeral Home. It is my pleasure to bring you this week’s program. This program is our way of reaching out to help families deal with those difficult days surrounding the death anniversary of a loved one. As we celebrate the Easter season we're reminded once again of our rituals and traditions. Remembering and celebrating our loved ones who have gone before us is also traditional. The day our loved one died is as important as their birthday! Easter celebrates the Risen Lord which gives those of us comfort knowing our loved ones who have died are not alone; they are with our Lord. We believe in Jesus and we don't see him so why not believe our loved ones are now in spirit form? Although it may be painful, our loved ones legacy needs to be shared, and their stories need to be told. Celebrate Easter and celebrate your loved one's heaven day! The first Easter taught us that life never ends and love never dies. Music & Memories Broadcast for Sunday, March 29, 2026 Covering the deaths from March 29 – April 4, 2026 Good morning and welcome to Music & Memories. This is Linda Sue, and I am the grief specialist at Patton-Schad Funeral Home. It is my pleasure to bring you this week’s program. This program is our way of reaching out to help families deal with those difficult days surrounding the death anniversary of a loved one. Whether your grief pain is a recent loss or many years have gone by. Grief has no timetable nor does it have rules. If you look at your thumbprint, no one else has the same print. As with grief pain, no one else has or knows the depth of your pain. Grief pain is individual and is as meaningful and deep as your love for your loved one is. As you experience your body and mind adjusting to the loss of your loved one, recognize those emotions felt and find a trusted friend to share how you feel. Speaking out loud how we feel is so important to the pain getting softer and living the new normal. There is always sunshine to be found. Music & Memories Broadcast for Sunday, March 22, 2026 Covering the deaths from March 22-28, 2026 Good morning and welcome to Music & Memories. This is Linda Sue, and I am the grief specialist at Patton-Schad Funeral Home. It is my pleasure to bring you this week’s program. This program is our way of reaching out to help families deal with those difficult days surrounding the death anniversary of a loved one. Let's talk about tears for a moment. Physically, tears are a release of endorphins to help promote stress relief and restore emotional balance. So healthy for our bodies but yet society puts on such a fuss. When grieving our tears, they represent our love of those we love who have died. Love tears are not only healthy for our well-being but celebrate the love we shared. Yes, tears can be a display of sadness but once again if not for the love we shared and sadness not felt, how could we appreciate the love we shared! Cleanse your body with love tears and celebrate their heaven day! This program is our way of reaching out to help families deal with those difficult days surrounding the death anniversary of a loved one. We are often reminded of how the world moves ahead without us. Some days the waves of grief pain can hit us and our world stops with a gasp, while the next moment our day goes on as planned. Our grief pain is a reminder of the love we shared with another person. They took your love of them with them and you have their love of you in your heart. Keeping their legacy alive through the telling and sharing of the stories and memories is so very important! Celebrate them this week with love tears, laughter and Joy!
