Good morning and welcome to Music & Memories.
 
This is Linda Sue, and I am the grief specialist at Patton-Schad Funeral Home. It is my pleasure to bring you this week’s program on KASM. This program is our way of reaching out to help families deal with those difficult days surrounding the death anniversary of a loved one.
 
With July fading fast we've had amazing summer weather recently! The day is good, life around us is good, and no rain and all is well. Why then do we ask; do we still feel sad and weepy? This should only happen on gloomy days, we think. It is true that gloom without sun days do play on our emotions but when the day is good and all is well, we may need to do some self-talk with ourselves and start with being thankful. Thankful that we were able to see another day. Thankful, for the love we shared with our loved one and most importantly; the love we have yet to share! We have to be the ones to make the call. Go visit with family, friends or maybe help someone out or volunteer? Like magic, your sadness and tears will vanish and you will enjoy your day!!
