Music & Memories
Broadcast for Sunday Dec 15, 2024
Covering the deaths from Dec 15-21, 2024
Good morning and welcome to Music & Memories.
This is Linda Sue, and I am the grief specialist at Patton-Schad Funeral Home. It is my pleasure to bring you this week’s program. This program is our way of reaching out to help families deal with those difficult days surrounding the death anniversary of a loved one.
Mid December with January weather! Even mother nature has an attitude. We are fast approaching Christmas and all challenges it brings with it. A few ways to help you get through your Christmas in one piece are to plan for your Christmas celebrations. Last week we talked about anticipating those celebrations but now let's plan for your Christmas. Having a plan can take some of the stress and anxiety away. Be kind and gentle to yourself; you need time; you need time for you, so know that it's ok to say no and not commit to others. It is ok that you don't do what you've normally done every year. Christmas celebrating goes along with how you feel. Allow yourself time to breathe, feel those feelings and cry. Crying those love tears are healthy for you and very cleansing. After a good cry be sure to drink a glass of water to refill. Remembering; Jesus is the reason for the season.
