Good morning and welcome to Music & Memories. 
 
This is Linda Sue, and I am the grief specialist at Patton-Schad Funeral Home. It is my pleasure to bring you this week’s program. This program is our way of reaching out to help families deal with those difficult days surrounding the death anniversary of a loved one. 
 
Wow: April is certainly here!! Between mother nature and our grief we would like to think we're in control but we're not! Weather forecasts can change within minutes as our grief pain can too. One day or moment, all is well and the next moment we're overtaken by memories and emotions. How well did you recover from the weather? Our grief journey runs parallel to our normal life before the grief pain. How you reacted to life before the loss of your loved one then, hasn't changed now; it has only become a little more magnified. April brings new life and new beginnings!! Our grief pain provides a new normal and perspective on how we view our life and the world around us. Sharing how you feel with a trusted friend helps you gain control over your emotions and helps you move forward to personal growth. As mother nature's attitude came and went, our grief pain will too.
