Zachariah A. "Zack" Berlien-Wensman, age 32 of New Munich, died unexpectedly on Thursday, January 4, 2018 in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 13 at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Melrose with Rev. Ken Thielman officiating. A family inurnment will be held at a later date.
Visitation will be from 12 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Zachariah Anthony Berlien-Wensman was born September 8, 1985 in St. Louis Park, Minnesota to Robin Wensman and Kelly (Bakey) Berlien. Zack worked at various construction companies and also was self employed off and on in the Twin Cities area. He moved to Sauk Centre two years ago and while there worked for Kraemer Construction and then at Arnzen Construction companies. Most recently, Zack lived with his brother and best friend, Zane in New Munich.
He had a strong spirituality and attended the Church Upon the Rock Church in Mounds View and other churches in the metro. Zack loved music, especially rap. His favorites were Eminem and Yelawolf. Zack enjoyed deer and pheasant hunting, reading, and was a dog lover. He also loved spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews.
Survivors include his father, Robin and Tena Wensman of Sauk Centre; mother, Kelly Berlien of Vadnais Heights; brothers, Nathan Amiel Berlien, Justin Tobias Berlien, and Zane Robinson Wensman; grandmother, Mary Ann Wensman of Greenwald; and many aunts, uncles, relatives and friends.
Zack was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Laurie Bakey, and Denis Wensman; and cousin, Addison Lee Wensman.
