Viola A. Kleve, age 79 of Freeport died suddenly from cancer on Wednesday, November 2, 2005 at Pine Villa Care Center in Melrose, Minnesota.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 5 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Freeport with Rev. Roger Klassen, O.S.B. officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call from 9:30 to 11 a.m. on Saturday at the church in Freeport.
Viola Kleve was born March 26, 1926 in Oak Township, Stearns County, Minnesota to Albert and Elizabeth (Beckermann) Roering. She was united in marriage to Arthur Kleve in 1952 at New Munich, Minnesota. The couple farmed near Freeport and later near Upsala. After Arthur died, Viola moved to Freeport. She enjoyed crocheting as her pastime. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Freeport.
Survivors include her brothers and sister, Virgil Roering and his wife, Jenny of Richmond, Leander Roering and his wife, Betty of St. Joseph, Andrew Roering and his wife, Margaret of Glenwood and Mary Jane Bohnen and her husband, John of Blaine.
Viola was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arthur on August 23, 1990; brothers and sister, Vernon, Edmund, Theodore, Ebehard, Wilfred, Bernard, Bernice, Melvin and Anthony.
Serving as casket bearers will be Roger Roering, Gary Roering, Gene Hartung, David Kleve, Robert Kleve and Ray Eggert. Serving as cross bearer will be Tim Roering.
