Veronica Mesna

The family of Veronica Mesna mourns the passing of their beloved mother, "Vicky", age 84. Vicky passed away peacefully surrounded by family, June 10th, 2015.

Vicky was born June 20th, 1930 in Lismore, MN to Emil and Catherine (Didier) Lais. She and her late husband Richard Mesna shared a passion for adventures and traveled throughout the South and Western United States with their children. The family resided in California and Minnesota with their nine children, and over the years, a countless number of friends and memories were made. Vicky's family will remember her for her endless love and compassion, and her support, acceptance, and loyalty for both family and friends alike. She shared her love of music, flowers, and cooking with everyone. Her smile would brighten any room. Vicky was remarried in 1997 to the late Richard Finken. For 16 years, they enjoyed laughter, friendship, gardening and the company of each other.

Vicky is survived by her children: Sandy Darling, Terri McStocker (Robert), Linda Hiltner (Sylvester), Rick Mesna, Debbie Duty (Randy), Steven Mesna. Stepchildren: Jim Finken (Phoebe), Dick Mesna (Sandy), Colleen Hendricks, and Penny Barrera-deceased.

She is also survived by grandchildren, Scott Darling (Tracy), David Darling (Linda), Katie Dalton (Tom), Benjamin McStocker, Daniel McStocker, Gene Hiltner (Lisa), Jenise Revering (Tony), Lee Hiltner (Andrea), Derrick Mesna, Ricki Mesna, Jeff Duty, Brad Duty, Kelsey Gulseth, Kyle Mesna. Including 18 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Vicky was held dear by many wonderful nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A memorial will be held Saturday, June 20th, 2015 at 10:00 a.m., at St. Paul's Cemetery, Sauk Centre, and a celebration of Vicky's life will immediately follow at the Palmer House in Sauk Centre.
