Veronica E. "Fronie" Bayer, age 90, of Elrosa died Saturday, January 21, 2006 at Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Thursday, January, 26 at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Elrosa with Rev. Jeff Ethen officiating. Inurnment will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church in Elrosa.

Veronica Bayer was born April 26, 1915 in Spring Hill, Minnesota to John and Mary (Botz) Weber. She was united in marriage to Leander "Jesse" Bayer on April 8, 1947 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Saint Cloud. Veronica moved to Bloomington five years ago to be closer to her daughter and grandchildren where she enjoyed playing BINGO and making new friends. She also enjoyed fancy work, making quilts, gardening and flowers. Fronie was a wonderful mother and grandmother who will be missed greatly. She was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Elrosa and the Christian Mothers.

Survivors include her daughter, Virginia "Ginger" Deters of Bloomington; grandchildren, Amy Deters of Bloomington and Ryan Deters of Atlanta, GA; and sister, Freida Roelike and her husband, Buddy of Elrosa.

Veronica was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leander "Jesse" Bayer on March 11, 1993; and brothers and sisters.

Serving as urn bearer will be Ryan Deters and cross bearer will be Amy Deters. Gift bearers will be Norma Ellering and Pam Imdieke. Lector will be the Kevin Roelike and Joel Roelike will be the soloist. Honorary bearers will be the Christian Mothers.
