Vernon "Vern" Lindemann

Vernon W. “Vern” Lindemann, age 81 of Sauk Centre, passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at the CentraCare Hospital in Sauk Centre, Minnesota.

Vernon William Lindemann was born August 4, 1940 in Sauk Centre, Minnesota to Michael and Margaret (Winters) Lindemann. On August 11, 1962 he was united in marriage to Barbara Gray at St. Olaf Catholic Church in Minneapolis.  Vern’s professional life covered a wide area of fields and locations.  He served on the Excelsior Police Department for over 20 years.  After leaving the police force he spent several years as a professional photographer.  In his Forties he earned his master’s degree in organizational development and held positions in Sacramento, CA; Columbus, OH and Chanhassen, MN as well as travels across the country.  The work Vern enjoyed most was landscaping, providing his skills to nursing homes, hospitals, backyards, and Barb’s Garden.  The role Vern lived for was Husband and Partner to his wife Barbie.

Survivors include his son, Scott (Sherri) Lindemann of Rosemount; three grandchildren, Megan, Mike, and Sam; sister, Lorraine Kollman of Sauk Centre; brothers, Albert (Myrna) Lindemann of Avon and Howard (Janet) Lindemann of Alexandria; and sister-in-law, Dorothy Lindemann.

Vern was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Lindemann on August 26, 2016; parents; brothers and sisters, Donald Lindemann, Irma Armstrong, Norbert Lindemann, and Irene Wolbeck.
