Valeria Lentz

Valeria B. Lentz, age 88 of Minneapolis, formerly of Sauk Centre, died Monday, December 22, 2008 at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, December 29 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Sauk Centre. Rev. Todd Schneider will officiate with interment following in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the services.Valeria Lentz was born March 2, 1920 in Melrose Township, Stearns County, Minnesota to John and Anna (Oevermann) Lentz. She attended Sauk Centre High School then normal training for teachers and taught in rural schools for several years. Since the early 1960's she had resided in Minneapolis.

Survivors include brother, Ralph Lentz of Lake City; sisters, Catherine Harren of Anoka, Yolanda (Harold) Mareck of St. Cloud, Jeanette (Jerry) Degenaar of Eagan; many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Arnold Lentz; and sister, Delores Herzog.

Serving as casket bearers will be her nephews, Earl Herzog, David and Gary Harren, John Mareck, Steve and Rick Degenaar, with Mary Kay Kuefler serving as cross bearer.
