Thomas Spaeth

Thomas G. “Tom” Spaeth, age 60, of Melrose, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on May 10, 2019 at the St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud, Minnesota.

Visitation for family and friends will be Thursday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Melrose. Prayers will be said by Deacon Ernie Kociemba at 5:30 p.m.

Thomas Gerald Spaeth was born March 25, 1959 in Melrose, Minnesota to Allen and Elizabeth (Olmscheid) Spaeth. He was an active member with the Melrose Fire Department for five years and for the last 30 years was working at Meadowlark Country Club in Melrose as course superintendent. Tom was a great friend and co-worker to everyone and enjoyed hosting Christmas for his family.

Survivors include his brothers and sisters, Mark Spaeth of Big Spring, Texas, Brenda (Jeff) Zeis of Oak Grove, Cindy (Todd) Lenarz of Milaca, and Chris Spaeth of St. Paul; two nieces; six nephews; 22 great-nieces and nephews; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Elizabeth “Betty” Spaeth; and brother, John Spaeth.
