Thomas Ahrens

Thomas P. "Tom" Ahrens, age 60 of Sauk Centre, died peacefully Friday, June 12, 2015 at St. Benedict's Nursing Home in St. Cloud, Minnesota.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 15 at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre. Deacon Tom McFadden will officiate with interment following in St. Paul's Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Thomas Paul Ahrens was born January 31, 1955 in Sauk Centre, Minnesota to Ferdinand and Dorothy (Botz) Ahrens. He was a 1974 graduate of Sauk Centre High School. He was then employed at Jennie-O and Prairie Packing before farming with his uncle near Sauk Centre.

Survivors include his son, Ryan Cook of St. Boniface; mother, Dorothy Ahrens of Grey Eagle; brothers and sisters, Kent Fetterman of Pierz, Mary Browen of Albertville, Tim Ahrens of Sauk Centre, Tony (Wanda) Ahrens of Sauk Centre, Don Ahrens of Sauk Centre, Joe Ahrens of Sartell, Julie (Brian) Middendorf of Grey Eagle, Mark (Angela Rhode) Ahrens of Staples, and Jeff Ahrens of Plymouth; several nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ferdinand Ahrens.

Serving as casket bearers will be Andy Browen, Cody Middendorf, Ted Kemper, Bill Zehrer, Gary Kuhlmann, and Emil Sirucek.
