Theresa "Terry" J. Welle, age 61 of Meire Grove, died on Friday, October 24, 2003 at the St. Cloud Hospital after battling cancer for three years.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 28 at St. John's Catholic Church in Meire Grove. Rev. Ronald Dockendorf will officiate with Rev. Ken Thielman concelebrating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Melrose and from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church. St. Mary's Society will pray at 7 p.m. followed by parish prayers at 8 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home in Melrose.
Theresa (Bzdok) Welle was born on May 22, 1942 in Little Falls, Minnesota to John and Angeline (Borash) Bzdok. On February 8, 1964 she was married to Kenneth Welle at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Little Falls. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Meire Grove, where she was a choir member and St. Mary's Society. Terry enjoyed card playing, her grandkids, country music, life at the cabin, crotcheting, cooking and bingo.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Welle of Meire Grove; children, Debbie (Steve) DeVries of Monticello, Tammy (Al) Koetter of Melrose, Scott (Melissa) Welle of St. Anna, Kim (Jim) Blonigen of Monticello, and Shawn (Vicki) Welle of Brooklyn Park; 13 grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Rose (Don) Klinkhammer of Long Prairie, Joe (Joyce) Bzdok of Little Falls, Martha Woitalla of Harding, and Ed (Kathy) Bzdok of Little Falls; and sister-in-law, LaVerne Bzdok of Little Falls.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, George Bzdok.
Serving as casket bearers will be Allan, Tom, Roger, David Welle, Robert Moritz and Edward Bzdok. Serving as cross bearer will be Mark Welle and scripture bearer will be Richard Carlson. Her sisters and sisters-in-law will serve as honorary bearers.
