Theresa A. Kraemer, age 95 of Melrose, died Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at the Pine Villa Care Center in Melrose, Minnesota.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 16 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Melrose with Rev. Vince Lieser officiating. A private entombment will take place at a later date at Holy Cross Cemetery in Phoenix, Arizona.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
Theresa Alma Rademacher was born January 26, 1915 to Peter and Mary (Froehler) Rademacher in New Munich. She was united in marriage to Alcuin Kraemer in May of 1941 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Munich. She worked for many years at Schulzetenberg's Hardware in Melrose and retired to Arizona year round in the late 1980's. Theresa eventually moved back into the area in 2002. She and Alcuin enjoyed dancing, especially the Polka and Square dancing. They loved to travel, visiting most every state except for the New England states, and even made a trip to Germany. Theresa also enjoyed sewing and spending time in her garden. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Melrose.
Survivors include her brother, Don Rademacher and his wife Leola of South St. Paul; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.Theresa was preceded in death by her husband, Alcuin Kraemer in January of 1995; parents; brother, Leo Rademacher; and sisters, Adella Overmann, Irma Schulte, Johanna Niehoff, and Helen Rosha.
Serving as casket bearers will be Stephen Rademacher, James Rademacher, Leo Rademacher, Ken Rademacher, Lloyd Rosha, and Ken Rosha. Cross bearer will be Sharon Pidde and scripture bearer will be Gary Rademacher.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Catholic Foreign Mission Society of America or Catholic Charities of Minnesota.
