Sylvia M. Meyer, age 92 of Sauk Centre, died peacefully Friday, January 6, 2012 at St. Otto's Care Center in Little Falls, Minnesota surrounded by her family.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 11 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Sauk Centre with Rev. Todd Schneider officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the church Wednesday.Sylvia Mary Felling was born May 9, 1919 in Padua, Minnesota to John and Catherine (Wuertz) Felling. On January 14, 1941 she was united in marriage to Walter J. Meyer at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Sauk Centre. Sylvia worked at Fingerhut as a seamstress, at the Serepta Home as a cook and helper, and later in the kitchen at St. Michael's Hospital and Nursing Home. Sylvia enjoyed gardening, sewing, and playing cards. She was a great cook and loved to find new recipes. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and the endless hugs from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Sylvia was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, Christian Mothers, and the Paul F. Donart VFW Post 2853 Auxiliary.

Sylvia is survived by her children, Shirley (Joseph) White of Eagle, Colorado, Duane (Judy) Meyer of Little Falls, Gary (Beth) Meyer of Sartell, and Debra (Joseph) Bieganek of Littleton, Colorado; 13 grandchildren, Lisa, Julie, Daniel, Jeff, Shannyn, Jennifer, Stephanie, Jessica, Jill, McKena, Kyle, Brad, and Luke; 17 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Alfrieda Kruse, Jerome (Joan) Felling, Henrietta (Don) Miller, and David (Joyce) Felling.

Sylvia was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Meyer on September 6, 1993; parents; brothers, Sylvester, Othmar, and Ambrose; and sisters, Ludwina Huston, Lucille Kuehnl and Frances Felling.

Serving as casket bearers will be Joe White, Joe Bieganek, Dan White, Jeff Meyer, Kyle Bieganek, and Brad Bieganek. Serving as cross bearer will be Jessica Soles and scripture bearer will be Jill Blaylock.
