Susann Uphus

Susann A. "Susie" Uphus, age 73 of Sauk Centre, died unexpectedly from complications of a stroke on Monday, December 10, 2012 at the St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud, Minnesota.

A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, December 14 at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church in Sauk Centre with Rev. James Statz officiating. A private inurnment will be in St. John's Cemetery in Meire Grove.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church.

Susann Ann Worms was born September 24, 1939 in New Munich, Minnesota to Hubert and Christine (Hoppe) Worms. She was united in marriage to Clyde Uphus on August 9, 1969 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Sauk Centre. Susie and Clyde lived in St. Paul until moving to Sauk Centre in 1994. She was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church in Sauk Centre. She enjoyed being a homemaker, working the Suduko, baking and bowling. Susie worried about her children and the weather, and loved being a grandmother. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her husband, Clyde Uphus of Sauk Centre; children, Kevin (Robin) Ertl of Helmville, Montana, and Diane (Mike) Gustafson of Woodbury; granddaughter, Sydney Gustafson; and brothers, John Worms of Omaha, Nebraska, and Thomas (Lois Schorn) Worms of Lakeview, Arkansas.

Susie was preceded in death by her parents.

Serving as urn bearer will be Kevin Ertl. Cross bearer will be Sydney Gustafson and scripture bearer will be Joey Humbert.
