Susan Rominger

Susan J. Rominger, age 62 of St. Cloud, died Thursday, November 25, 2010 at Country Manor Health Care Center in Sartell, Minnesota.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 30 at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Melrose. Rev. Ken Thielman will officiate with inurnment following at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Susan Jane Gowdy was born on February 25, 1948 in Melrose, Minnesota to Robert and Patricia (Wander) Gowdy. She was raised in Melrose and later moved to Minneapolis where she met her future husband, Robert Rominger. The couple was married on June 22, 1968 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Melrose. They moved to Madison, Wisconsin shortly after their marriage and later resided in Pennsylvania. For the past 12 years she had resided in St. Cloud.Susan loved nothing more than visiting with people and will be remembered for her good sense of humor. She enjoyed reading, gardening, and making and collecting ceramics.

Survivors include her son, Chad Rominger of Coconut Creek, Florida; and brother, Richard "Rick" ( Kathy) Gowdy of Holmen, Wisconsin; two nieces and one nephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Robert Rominger on April 23, 1991.
