Susan M. "Susie" Inderrieden, age 92, of Greenwald, died peacefully Sunday, February 18, 2007 at Pine Villa Care Center in Melrose.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 20 at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Greenwald with Rev. Pascal Otieno Ounga officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 8 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Melrose. Christian Women and St. Andrew's Catholic Aid will pray at 7 p.m. followed by parish prayers at 8 p.m. Monday evening.
Susan Inderrieden was born November 30, 1914 in Meire Grove, Minnesota to Herman H. and Veronica (Schulte) Imdieke. She married Aloys Inderrieden on June 8, 1937 at St. John's Catholic Church in Meire Grove. The couple farmed in Getty Township and retired in 1973. In 1977, they moved to Greenwald and for 22 years Susie cleaned at St. Andrew's School. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, and cooking and baking for her family. The past 6 years she has been a resident at Pine Villa Care Center. She was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Greenwald, Christian Women, and St. Andrew's Catholic Aid Society.
Survivors include her children, Herbert Inderrieden and his wife, Carol of Melrose, Ralph Inderrieden and his wife, Rose Ann of Melrose, Rose Ann Steil and her husband, Ronald of Richmond, and Al Inderrieden and his wife, Veronica of Greenwald; 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; brother and sister, Albert "Allie" Imdieke of Meire Grove and Rose Fladung of Blackduck.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Aloys Inderrieden, Sr. on March 18, 1987; brothers, Norbert Imdieke and Herman Imdieke; sisters, Dora Marthaler and Sr. Clare Imdieke, OSB; sister-in-law, Beatrice Imdieke; and brothers-in-law, Alphonse Marthaler and Norbert Fladung.
Serving as casket bearers will be Roger Steil, Randy Steil, Ryan Steil, Steve Inderrieden, Jennifer Stepan, and Lisa Lahr. Serving as cross bearer will be Cheryl LaLonde and scripture bearer will be Jaclynn Peterson. Mass servers will be Michael Wiechmann and Carla Inderrieden. Gift bearers will be John, Cole, Will, and Kate LaLonde. Lector will be Jaclynn Peterson. Honorary bearers will be the Christian Women and St. Andrew's Catholic Aid.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. John's/St. Andrew's School.
