Susan Engle

Susan M. Engle, age 65 of Sauk Centre, died Saturday, January 18, 2014 at the Munroe Regional Medical Center in Ocala, Florida.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Friday, January 24 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Sauk Centre with Rev. Greg Paffel officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 8 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre. Parish prayers will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.

Susan Marie Terfehr was born July 30, 1948 in Alexandria, Minnesota to Norbert "Bert" and Margaret (Sauer) Terfehr. Susan graduated from Sauk Centre High School and was married to her high school sweetheart Marcus "Mick" Engle on February 19, 1966. Susan and Mick owned and operated Engle Fabrication in Sauk Centre from 1972 to 2005. Susan enjoyed time with family and friends, and she especially treasured her time with Mick. She loved to travel and explore new places. She was a talented artist and loved crafting. She had an eye for seeing and appreciating Gods natural beauty around her and photographing it. She had a larger than life presence and personality that matched her heart. Susan greeted everyone with a big smile and open arms for a giant hug and for this she will be remembered. She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Sauk Centre.

Susan is survived by her husband, Marcus "Mick" Engle; sons, Michael (Janna) Engle of Sauk Centre and Dustin Engle of Sauk Centre; five grandchildren, Ethan, Nelson, Lily, Riley and Rykin; sister, Joyce (Jerry) Klimek of Osakis; brothers, John Terfehr of West Union and Mark (Deb) Terfehr of Dayton.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Todd Engle.

Serving as casket bearers will be her nephews, Rob Tabatt, Jeff Klimek, Tim Engle, Eric Engle, Taran Engle, and Doug Terfehr. Cross bearer will be her grandson, Ethan Engle and scripture bearer will be her grandson, Nelson Engle.
