Steven L. Blonigan, age 44 of New Munich, died Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at his home in New Munich, Minnesota.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 5, 2008 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Munich with Rev. Roger Klassen, OSB officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday and 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Melrose. Parish prayers will be held at 5 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
Steve Blonigan was born April 15, 1963 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to William and Carolyn (Spivey) Blonigan. On May 2, 1986 he was united in marriage to Debra A. Theisen at Saint Joseph's Catholic Church in Waite Park. He was a security guard for the College of St. Benedict and drove truck for Scherer and Sons, Ecker Feed Mill, and most recently at Worms Lumber and Ready Mix. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Munich. Steve loved spending time with his family and friends, and adding to his collection of eagles.
Survivors include his wife, Debra of New Munich; children, Joshua, Melissa, and Eric, all of New Munich; father, William Blonigan of Avon; brothers and sisters, David (Deb Neuman) Blonigan of Clear Lake, Jeff Blonigan of Crestview, Florida, twin sister, Stephanie (Michael) Andreasen of Avon, Bill Blonigan Jr. of Avon, Jim Blonigan of Milaca, and Lynda (Travis) Westling of Milaca; mother and father-in-law, Janet and Art Theisen of Waite Park; and many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn (Spivey) Blonigan; and nephew, Michael Blonigan.
Serving as casket bearers will be Mitch Blonigan, Matt Blonigan, Nick Blonigan, Scott Andreasen, Dave Theisen and Dale Theisen. Cross bearer will be Katie Andreasen and scripture bearer will be Lorrayne Traut.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
