Sharon Lee Spoo, age 64 of Grey Eagle, died Saturday, October 30, 2010 at St. Michael's Nursing Home in Sauk Centre, Minnesota.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, November 4 at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Grey Eagle with Rev. Fred Kutter officiating. Interment will be in Lakeview cemetery.
Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home in Grey Eagle.
Sharon Lee Meldaus was born December 4, 1945 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Clarence and Loretta (Nagler) Meldaus. She graduated from Grey Eagle High School in 1963. Sharon taught Sunday school at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Grey Eagle. On October 31, 1964 she was united in marriage to Gerald Henry Spoo. Sharon was a loving wife and mother who was devoted to raising her children and taking care of her family.
She enjoyed reading, especially in her hammock by the lake, learning to use the computer, and hosting holiday parties.
Survivors include her husband, Gerald Spoo of Grey Eagle; three children, Tammy Spoo of St. Francis, Shawn Spoo of Milaca, and Heather Spoo of Elk River; mother, Loretta Meldaus of Grey Eagle; brother, Robert Meldaus of Grey Eagle; sister-in-laws, Linda Spoo and Judy Spoo of Brandon, South Dakota.
Sharon was preceded in death by her father, Clarence Meldaus in 1972; and brother, Dale Meldaus in 2009.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
