Sharon L. Neuman, age 46, of Melrose, died after a long courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, March 29, 2008 at the Melrose Area Hospital.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 2 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Melrose with Rev. Vince Lieser and Rev. Ken Thielman concelebrating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 8 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Melrose. Parish prayers will be at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.

Sharon Neuman was born February 26, 1962 in Melrose, Minnesota to Mel and Ann (Ellering) Roehrl. She graduated from Melrose High School and St. Cloud Technical College. On June 25, 1997 she married Brian Neuman in St. Cloud. She was employed at the St. Cloud Times for 17 years, the Melrose Veterinary Clinic and Central Minnesota Federal Credit Union from 2000 -2007. Sharon loved her children very much and enjoyed summers with her family at Big Birch Lake. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Melrose and was Treasurer for the Melrose Area Women of Today.

Survivors include her husband, Brian Neuman of Melrose; children, Anna, Nathan and Elizabeth all at home; step-daughter, Hannah of Sartell; parents, Mel and Ann Roehrl of Melrose; brothers and sisters, Betty (David) Flanigan of Maple Grove, Peg (John) Faber of Adrian, Joe (Linda) Roehrl of Redwood Falls, Chuck (Mary) Roehrl of St. Cloud and Deb (Jeff) Duclos of Melrose; many nieces, nephews and cousins; mother and father-in-law, Linda and Tom Keene of St. Cloud and Lewis and Elayne Neuman of Cold Spring.

Sharon was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ludwig and Bertha Roehrl and Alphonse and Elizabeth Ellering.

Serving as casket bearers will be Joe Roehrl, David Flanigan, John Faber, Jeff Duclos, Chad Finken, Danny Borgerding, Jacob Duclos, and Greg Keene. Cross bearer will be Katelyn Duclos and scripture bearer will be Hannah Neuman.
