Scott B. Bergeson, age 59 of Westport, died Sunday, February 3, 2019 at Saint Cloud Hospital in Saint Cloud, Minnesota surrounded by his family.

Scott Benhard Bergeson was born May 4, 1959 in Willmar, Minnesota, the son of Gordon B. and Rudella Lovern (Baklund) Bergeson. As a young man, he enjoyed long haul motorcycle trips on his Harley Davidson with his buddies. Throughout his working years, Scott was an over the road truck driver going from coast to coast or from the southern states back to Minnesota delivering his loaded trailers. In 1988, he met Kathleen H. Flood. On June 25, 1988 they were married in the Japanese Garden at Normandale Community College in Bloomington, Minnesota. They lived in Chaska, Minnesota until 1999 when they moved to Westport, Minnesota where he continued to live until his death. He enjoyed working on classic cars at this home and always had a dog beside him – large dogs when he was young and small lap dogs as he became older! He enjoyed life, being a husband to Kathy, and truly enjoyed helping raise Rebecca, Kathy’s granddaughter.
Survivors include his sisters, Marnie (Bill) Simpson of Savage, Minnesota and Margo J. Olson of Bedford, Texas; five step - children, James (Danielle) Flood, Elizabeth Flood, Kathleen Flood, Tammy Haugen, and Theresa Riemer; six step - grandchildren, Michael Carlson, Rebecca Flood, Kendra Golembiski, Bobbi-Jo W;hiting-Haugen, Vadia Haugen, and McKayla Riemer.
Scott was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Flood-Bergeson on June 17, 2015; his parents, Gordon Bergeson in September 1981 and Rudella Borgeson in May 2018; brother, Gary Bergeson; and sister, Gloria Green.
