Rosella Thostenson

Rosella E. Thostenson, age 82 of Sauk Centre, died Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at Saint Michael's Nursing Home in Sauk Centre, Minnesota.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, November 27 at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre with Rev. Rebecca Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.

Friends may call from 12 to 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre.

Rosella Ethel Pederson was born August 21, 1927 in Ashley Township, Stearns County, Minnesota to Martin and Louise (Berndt) Pederson. On September 4, 1954 she married Clarence Thostenson in Brooten. Rosella lived in Sauk Rapids for a number of years. While living in Sauk Rapids, she worked at Good Shepherd Nursing Home as a nurse's assistant and also was a member of Salem Lutheran Church. Rosella moved back to Sauk Centre in 1990 after her husband passed away. Since April 14, 2007, she had resided at St. Michael's Nursing Home in Sauk Centre.Rosella's hobbies included working crossword puzzles and word finds, reading, going out to eat, and in her later years, she enjoyed watching television.

Survivors include her sister, Mary Pederson (fiancé, Al Loken) of Sauk Centre; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence Thostenson on May 4, 1988; son, Richard Pederson on December 13, 1995; brothers, Melvin, Paul, Alfred, and Harold Pederson; and sisters, Lucille Quistorff, Elsie Otte, and Betty Schaef.
