Rose Johnson

Rose M. Johnson, age 93, of Burtrum, died peacefully Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Getty Street Assisted Living in Sauk Centre, Minnesota.

A private family burial will be held at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Clotho, Minnesota.

Rose Mary Berens was born March 31, 1926 in Grey Eagle Township, Minnesota to John M. and Katie (Sindermann) Berens. On October 6, 1951 she married Forrest E. Johnson in Long Prairie, Minnesota at the court house. The couple moved to Minneapolis and Rose began working at Roberts Hamilton as an executive receptionist until she retired in 1984. Rose and Forrest then moved to their lake home on Mound Lake. The couple was married for 67 years.

Rose enjoyed many activities, especially traveling all over the United States in their camper. She loved going to the casino, long car rides, going out to eat, and cats.

Survivors include many loving nieces and nephews.

Rose was preceded in death by husband, Forrest Johnson; parents; and sisters, Bertha (Len) Besnett, Martha (Verner) Swanson, and Theresia (Herman) Marty.
