Rose A. Arnold, age 89 of Sauk Centre, died Sunday, December 2, 2007 at St. Michael's Hospital in Sauk Centre, Minnesota.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, December 7 at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church in Sauk Centre. Rev. James Statz will officiate with inurnment following in St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery in Watkins.

Friends may call at the church on Friday one hour prior to the service.

Rose Arnold was born September 6, 1918 in Watkins, Minnesota to Joseph and Barbara (Klein) Yanish. On October 4, 1939 she married Clyde Arnold in St. Paul, Minnesota. He preceded her in death in 1954. She had resided in Sauk Centre since 1961. She was employed as an operator and supervisor for Northwestern Bell Telephone for 26 years. She retired in 1980 and was the last operator in the Sauk Centre office.Rose was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church, Sauk Centre Seniors, and Qwest Pioneers. She was an avid golfer and bowler and enjoyed traveling.

Survivors include three grandchildren, Sue (Curt) Akers of LaPorte City, Iowa, Teresa (Tim) Dirks of Brainerd, and James (Sarah) Arnold of Medford, Wisconsin; nine grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Louise Arnold of Spicer; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clyde; son, Robert Arnold in 1988; brother, Herbert Yanish; and sister, Frances Reber.

Urn bearer will be James Arnold and honorary bearers will be Alice Bromen, Audrey Douvier, Claren Kane, Anne Walz, and Marie Trierweiler.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Catholic Charities.
