Ronnie “Skip” Wiehoff, age 61 of Albany passed away Friday, April 26, 2019 at St. Cloud Hospital Emergency in St. Cloud, Minnesota.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 2 at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Melrose.
Ronald Michael Wiehoff was born March 17, 1958 in Melrose, Minnesota, the son of Margaret Clara (Stanczyk) and Ronald Joseph Wiehoff. He attended school in Blaine. As a young boy, he acquired the nickname “Skip” and many people continue to call him by that name. Ronnie was a very hard worker and took great pride in doing his very best at work, no matter the job he was hired to do. Within a short time, he was would make his way into a management position for every company. Throughout his working years, Skip had the good fortune to work for Circus Circus in Reno, Nevada, Jennie O Turkey Processing in Melrose, MN, and AmCon in St. Cloud, just to name several of the companies. A “Jack of All Trades” describes him very well – if he didn’t know how something worked or how to repair it, he would study it and learn how to fix it.
When Ron’s work was finished, he always enjoyed spending time with his four sons. In his younger years, he enjoyed bareback riding and competing in rodeos, playing the drum set, snowmobiling and hunting.
Ronnie is survived by his wife, Sharon; four sons, Ronnie Wiehoff and his wife, Wendy of Watkins, Austin Wiehoff of Melrose, Tyler Wiehoff of Albany, and Brandon Wiehoff of Albany; grandchildren, Logan, Emrick, Briana, Westlyn, and Kinley; sister, Linda (Richard) West of Meire Grove; brother, Scott (Laurie) Wiehoff of Melrose and other family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ronnie and Margie Wiehoff.
