RoJean Hedin

RoJean A. Hedin, age 82, of Grey Eagle, died Friday, December 4, 2009 at the St. Michael's Nursing Home in Sauk Centre.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 12 from 10 to 12 p.m. at the Senior Center in Grey Eagle. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Hawley Cemetery in Hawley, MN.

RoJean Ann Tall was born June 6, 1927 in Hawley, MN to Hilding and Amanda (Lindberg) Tall. She grew up and attended school in Hawley. She married Reuben Fogel on June 15, 1944 in Moorhead, MN. He passed away on December 3, 1950. RoJean continued to live in Moorhead until 1951when she moved to Long Prairie. She then married Edwin Hedin on March 20, 1952 in Long Prairie. They later divorced and he passed away on April 3, 2000. RoJean worked at Crestliner Boats in Little Falls for 10 years and at the Lutheran Home in Little Falls for 7 1/2 years, retiring in 1992. She enjoyed sewing, reading, flowers, gardening, fishing, the casino, country music, and was an avid Twins fan.

Survivors include her children, Kathy (Con) Natvig of Swanville, Lin Anderson of Bemidji, Michael (Vi) Fogel of Brooklyn Center, David (Sheryl) Hedin of Swanville, and Nancy (Tracy) Hedin of St. Paul; 17 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; and brother, Russell Tall of New Brighton.

RoJean was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Reuben Fogel; second husband, Edwin Hedin; and sister, Delores Olson.
