Robert O'Brien

Robert W. O'Brien, age 84 of Sauk Centre, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 18, 2016 at the CentraCare Health Nursing Home in Sauk Centre, Minnesota.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.

Robert William O'Brien was born June 8, 1932 in Glendale, California to Robert and Verna (Edwards) O'Brien. He attended Vestal High School in Vestal, NY. After school he enlisted and served in the United States Army. After the service he continued to live in Appalachia, NY where he farmed with his father and brother until 1960. Alongside farming, Bob started O'Brien Builder which he owned and operated until 2002. He then moved to Sauk Centre to live with his son Bob on his Farm until his passing. Bob loved to hunt, fish, and build.

Survivors include his children Kathy O'Brien of Vestal, NY, Bob (Marla) O'Brien of Sauk Centre, Julie (Richard) Vultaggio of Vestal, NY, and Mark (Brenda) O'Brien of Vestal, NY; and 14 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Bob was preceded in death by his brother, Blaine O'Brien; and sister, Doreen Barrier.
