Robert F. "Bob" Kinsella, age 81, of Sauk Centre died April 20, 2006 at St. Michael's Nursing Home in Sauk Centre, Minnesota.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 24 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Sauk Centre with Rev. Todd Schneider officiating. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Sauk Centre, with military honors by the United Veterans Honor Guard of Sauk Centre.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 8 to 10 a.m. Monday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre. United Veterans of Sauk Centre Prayer Service at 7 pm followed by parish prayers at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday evening at the funeral home.
Robert Kinsella was born May 18, 1924 in Ashley Township, Stearns County, Minnesota to John and Mary (Krebsbach) Kinsella. He served in the U.S. Marines during World War II. He farmed in Birchdale Township, Todd County, Minnesota for many years. Robert enjoyed hunting and playing bingo.
Survivors include his sisters and brothers, Gertrude Wielenberg of Sauk Centre; Irene Marthaler of Sauk Centre, Lloyd Kinsella (Bette) of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Bernard Kinsella (Mary Lou) of Chenenne, Wyoming, Katherine Schmiesing (Walter) of Sauk Centre, John Berscheit of Sauk Centre and Paul Berscheit (Verda) of Prior Lake.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Casket bearers will be Peter Marthaler, Lorenz Marthaler, Thomas Schmiesing, Terrance Schmiesing, Christopher Berscheit and Gary Berscheit. Cross bearer will be Kate Banovetz. Scripture bearer will be Rose Schlichting. Honorary bearers will be neighbors.
