Robert Gysberg

Robert T. "Bob" Gysberg, age 67, died Thursday, June 3, 2010 at the St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud, MN.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 7 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Munich with Rev. Roger Klassen, O.S.B. officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date.

Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, June 7 at the church in New Munich.

Robert Theodore Gysberg was born July 7, 1942 in St. Cloud, MN to Otto and LuVerne (Viereck) Gysberg. He married Dolores Och on February 8, 1964 in Spring Hill, MN. Bob worked at Jennie-O Foods in Melrose for 23 years, retiring in 2008. He enjoyed farming and spending time with his family and friends.

Bob was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Munich and the St. Joseph's Men's Society.

Survivors include his wife, Dolores Gysberg of New Munich; children, Roger Gysberg of New Munich, Tammy (Jeff) Klaphake of Melrose, Gina (Marvin) Feldewerd of Cold Spring, Ron (Michele) Gysberg of Cold Spring, and Rocky (Tammy) Gysberg of Avon; 19 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and sister, Donna (Jack) Halbert of Henning.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Otto and LuVerne Gysberg; grandson, Gregory Klaphake; brother, Rodney Gysberg; and sister-in-law, Rose Gysberg.

Serving as urn bearer will be Ryan Klaphake. Cross bearer will be Ross Gysberg and scripture bearer will be Nicholas Feldewerd. Honorary bearers include Bob's grandchildren. Reader will be Alyssa Gysberg. Gift bearers will be Tyler and Tanner Klaphake and Samantha Gysberg.
