Richard Pohlmann

Richard J. Pohlmann, age 81 of Melrose, died Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at the Melrose Area Hospital in Melrose, Minnesota.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, November 30 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Melrose with Rev. Marvin Enneking officiating. Inurnment will be in the parish cemetery with military honors by the Melrose Veterans Honor Guard.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church in Melrose.

Richard Joseph Pohlmann was born November 3, 1931 in Melrose, Minnesota to Frederick and Agnes (Ossenbeck) Pohlmann. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Richard farmed all his life which was his enjoyment.

He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Melrose.

Survivors include his brother, Edwin Pohlmann of New Munich; niece, Doris (Andy) Vogel of Savage; and nephew, Tom Pohlmann of Dallas.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Alphonse Pohlmann and Roman Pohlmann; sisters, Bernice Schiemann and Rosemary Otteson.

Serving as urn bearer will be Doris Vogel. Cross bearer will be Abby Vogel and scripture bearer will be Matt Vogel.
