Richard Czech

Richard M. "Rick" Czech, age 57 of Sauk Centre, died Monday, February 12, 2018 at the CentraCare Health Hospital in Sauk Centre, Minnesota.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

Richard Melvin Czech was born July 16, 1960 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Frank and Edith (Thompson) Czech. Richard worked at WACOSA for 30 years and lived at the Koelln Home. Cathy Koelln took care of Richard from 1987 until 2011 and Shawn Laven provided his care from that time forward. Richard enjoyed van rides, playing with balls, and participating in the Special Olympics in track, bowling, and basketball. He loved all types of food, especially chips and pumpkin pie. Richard enjoyed spending time with people he was familiar with, being outside, and loved going on pontoon rides.

Survivors include his brothers and sisters, Carol Czech (Stan) of Idaho, Mary (Rick) Winter of Avon, Sue Trautmiller (Garett) of New Ulm, Roger (Jill) Halterman of Pequot Lakes, Ron (Jennifer) Halterman of Rogers, Bill Czech of Foley, and Jim (Coleen) Czech of Glencoe; and many nieces and nephews.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Edith Czech.
