Richard J. "Dick" Budde, age 63, of Melrose, passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at his home in Melrose, Minnesota.
Memorial Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 27 at Faith Baptist Church in Sauk Centre with Pastor Ron Hemsworth and Logan Friess officiating.
Dick Budde was the youngest child of the late Edward Budde and the late Johanna (Enneking) Budde. Never having moved too far from home, Dick lived across the road from the farm he was raised on. He married Linda Glover in October of 1978, and together they raised three children. He was employed by Kraft Foods in Melrose until it was destroyed by a fire in January of 1989. In April of the same year, he became employed by First District Association in Litchfield. Dick enjoyed the outdoors, and though he went bear hunting a few times with his sons, it was deer hunting he looked forward to each year. He enjoyed fishing, and the many family vacations that always seemed to take them to a campground or state park. Dick also enjoyed collecting and restoring John Deere tractors, and he always had M & M's in his shirt pockets for his granddaughters.
