Renee Bohlig

Renee H. Bohlig, age 83, of Melrose, died Wednesday, August 22, 2007 at the Pine Villa Care Center in Melrose.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, August 25 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Melrose with Rev. Steve Hayden officiating. Interment will follow after lunch at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Sauk Rapids.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Melrose and from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church in Melrose.

Renee Bohlig was born September 21, 1923 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Frederick and Wilhelmina (Fiergolla) Knafla. On October 3, 1949 she married Norman Bohlig in Melrose. She worked as a nurse at the St. Cloud Hospital, VA Hospital in St. Cloud and the Melrose Area Hospital. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Melrose where she taught bible school for many years.

Survivors include her husband, Norman Bohlig of Birch Lake; and sister, Dorothy Ross of Eugene, Oregon.

Renee was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Lewis Knafla.
