Regina P. Haskamp, age 97, of Meire Grove died peacefully on Friday, April 28, 2006 at Paynesville Area Hospital in Paynesville, Minnesota.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 2 at St. John's Catholic Church in Meire Grove with Rev. Pascal Otieno Ounga officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Melrose and from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church in Meire Grove. St. Mary's Society will pray at 7 p.m. followed by parish prayers at 7:30 p.m. Monday evening.

Regina Haskamp was born April 25, 1909 in Meire Grove, Minnesota to Stanislaus and Katherine (Kroll) Yarke. She was united in marriage to Joseph F. Haskamp on June 23, 1936 in Meire Grove. The couple farmed near Meire Grove all their lives. After Joseph passed away, Regina continued living on the family farm until three weeks ago when she moved to Koronis Manor in Paynesville. Regina enjoyed fishing, sewing, quilting, and flowers. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, St. Mary's Society, and St. John's Catholic Aid.

Survivors include her children, LaVerne Winter of Greenwald, Bob Haskamp and his wife, Diann of Elk River, Jim Haskamp and his wife, Diane of Greenwald, Jerry Haskamp and his wife, Susie of Sauk Centre, and JoAnn Rademacher and her husband, Jerry of Melrose; 17 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

Regina was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph Haskamp on August 31, 1990; son-in-law, Edward Winter; one grandson; brothers and sisters, John, Albert and Ben Yarke, Mary Adrian, Helen Pung and Martha Haskamp.

Serving as casket bearers will be Jeff Haskamp, Dan Winter, Karla Wensmann, Eric Rademacher, Kristen Haskamp, Brian Haskamp, Cory Haskamp, and Scott Rademacher. Serving as cross bearer will be Sara Rademacher and scripture bearer will be Deanna Jensen. Honorary bearers will be St. Mary's Society.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
