Regina T. Duclos, age 93 of Freeport, died on Thursday, June 17, 2004 at Mother of Mercy Nursing Home in Albany.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 21 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Freeport. Rev. Roger Klassen, OSB will officiate with interment following in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call at the church on Monday from 9:30 to 11 a.m.
Regina Duclos was born on March 26, 1911 in Freeport Township, Stearns County, Minnesota to Bernard and Bernadine (Kluenberg) Wenning. On September 9, 1941 she married William J. Duclos at St. Anthony, Minnesota. She resided in Freeport for most of her life and was a former employee of Kraft Foods in Melrose. She had been a resident of Mother of Mercy Retirement Center in Albany for the past 13 years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Christian Mothers.Regina enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also spent time gardening, baking, playing cards and bingo.
Survivors include four daughters, Shirley (Joseph) Miller of St. Joseph, Darlene (Thomas) Glatzmaier of Sartell, Joyce (Roger) Wolf of Albany and Katie (Gary) Rieland of St. Louis Park; 12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; one step-great granddaughter; brother, Ben Wenning of Albany.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Duclos on July 20, 1987; her parents; one granddaughter, Karla Miller; sisters and brothers, Rose Schiller, Elizabeth, Lawrence, Al, Isadore and Joe Wenning.
Serving as casket bearers will be Michael, John, Doug, and Angie Miller, Pamm Glatzmaier, Cheryl Caldwell, Gretchen Flynn, and Dana Karr.
Cross bearer will be Kristen Esposita and scripture bearer will be Peggy Brantner.
