Raymond W. "Ray" Muellner, age 58, of rural Burtrum died unexpectedly Monday, Nov. 14, 2005 at the Long Prairie Memorial Hospital.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 18, 2005 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Grey Eagle with Rev. Edwin Kraemer officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery with military honors by the Melrose Veterans Honor Guard.
Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church Chapel in Grey Eagle. Parish prayers will be 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the church chapel.
Raymond Muellner was born April 15, 1947 in Burtrum, Minnesota to Alfred J. and Oswalda (Hoppe) Muellner. He graduated from Grey Eagle High School in 1966. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Ray was united in marriage to Jeanette F. Borchert August 11, 1976 in Long Prairie. Ray was a lifetime resident of rural Burtrum where he farmed for many years. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Grey Eagle, and the Burnhamville Township Board for 20 years. Ray enjoyed welding and carpentry.
Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Muellner of Grey Eagle; children, Brian Mills (Julie) of Richmond and Becky Krupa (Mike) of Sauk Centre; brothers and sisters, Barbara Connors (Don) of Plymouth, Herbert Muellner, Sr. (Mary) of Burtrum, Ervin Muellner (Sharon) of Burtrum, David Muellner of Burtrum and Susanna Tesch (Timothy) of Grey Eagle; and three grandchildren, Kelsey Houg, Ethan Mills and Makayla Mills.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bernard Muellner; and nephews, Daniel Herbert Muellner and Herbert Daniel Muellner, Jr.
Casket bearers will be Tim and Tom Connors, Jim and Joe Muellner, Mike Hoppe and Al Roe. Cross bearer will be Jessi Muellner. Scripture bearer will be Jenny Ahrendt. Honorary bearers will be Pete DeSmet, Ken Rahn, Harold Rohde, Eddie Walker, Tim Ainali, Pete Reimers and Bob Bense.
