Raymond Adrian

Raymond J. Adrian, age 86 of Elrosa, died Thursday, June 19, 2014 at the Glacial Ridge Hospital in Glenwood, Minnesota.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 23 at Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Elrosa with Rev. Mark Stang officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church. Parish prayers will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday afternoon at the church.

Raymond Joseph Adrian was born February 13, 1928 in Elrosa, Minnesota to Joseph and Mary (Yarke) Adrian. He has farmed on the family century farm east of Elrosa his entire life. Raymond was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Elrosa and the Catholic Order of Foresters. Raymond enjoyed fishing in his younger years and later in life he enjoyed playing cards, shaking dice, especially 6 5 4, playing pull tabs, and visiting with family and friends. Raymond's daily routine started with a shot of brandy in the morning.

Survivors include his sister, Rita (Louie) Hiltner of Sauk Centre; brother-in-law and best friend, Al Czech; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mary Adrian; brothers, Aloysius Adrian and Alfred Adrian; and sisters, Agatha Roering and Marjorie Czech.

Serving as casket bearers will be David Hiltner, James Hiltner, Gary Roering, Jim Dietrich, Kevin Herdering, and Greg Czech. Cross bearer will be Carol Herdering and scripture bearer will be Sharon Czech.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
