Raphael J. Trisko, 74 of Sauk Centre died peacefully at home, on April 12, 2003, after battling cancer for almost 6 years.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 am Wednesday, April 16th at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Sauk Centre with Rev. Todd Schneider officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call Tuesday from 3:30 to 9 pm and Wednesday from 8 to 10:30 am at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre. Parish prayers will be at 6:30 p.m. followed by Knights of Columbus and St. Paul's Catholic Aid at 8 p.m.
Raphael Trisko was born on October 7, 1928 in Melrose, Minnesota to Carl and Anna (Kemper) Trisko. He served in the U.S. Army for two years. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Schmitz on June 15, 1955 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Sauk Centre. They farmed for 36 years in Ashley Township, Stearns County. They moved to Sauk Centre in the fall of 1991. Raphael was employed part-time as a custodian at First National Bank and at the Sauk Centre Herald. He enjoyed woodworking, playing cards, socializing and spending time with family. He was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church where he was an usher and money counter; Bishop Joseph F. Busch Council #4863, Knights of Columbus; St. Paul's Catholic Aid and American Legion Post 67. Raphael was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy of Sauk Centre; children, Liz (Lyle) Lundebrek of Morris, Janet (Tom) Pfeninger of Villard, Mary (Rick) Towner of Dawson, Gregg Trisko of Sauk Centre and Paula Trisko of Dassel; grandchildren, Dominic, Kristine and Dustin Lundebrek, Sara and Patrick Pfeninger and Nicole, Joseph and Danielle Towner; brothers and sister, Alphonse (Julianna) Trisko, Ray (Irene) Trisko, Clarence (Rita) Trisko, Richard (Carol) Trisko and Jerome Trisko all of Sauk Centre and Viola (Frank) Kraemer of Osakis.
Raphael was preceded in death by his parents.
Casket bearers will be grandchildren, Dominic, Kristine and Dustin Lundebrek, Sara and Patrick Pfeninger and Nicole, Joseph and Danielle Towner. Cross bearer will be Dwayne Trisko with Larry Trisko serving as Scripture bearer. Honorary bearers will be Fred Korte, Sidney Hills, Allan Bromenshenkel, Oscar Bromen, Elmer Orth, Richard Orth, Cliff Jennissen, Larry Sorenson, Kevin Winter, George Williams, Ed Klaphake, Clifford Claussen, Cyril Meyer, David Walters and employees of First National Bank.
