Ralph C. Rademacher, age 81 of New Munich, died Saturday, April 14, 2012 at the Melrose Area Hospital in Melrose, Minnesota.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Thursday, April 19, 2012 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Munich with Rev. Roger Klassen, O.S.B. officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 8 to 10 a.m. Thursday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Melrose. Parish prayers will be held at 5 p.m. followed by St. Joseph's Men's Society and the Catholic Order of Foresters at 7 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.

Ralph Celestine Rademacher was born November 8, 1930 in Spring Hill Township, Stearns County, Minnesota to John and Anna (Froehler) Rademacher. On June 3, 1953 he married Dorothy Olmscheid at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Melrose. They farmed on the original Rademacher family farm south of New Munich. When Ralph retired from milking cows, he continued to go to the farm with his four-wheeler. He also enjoyed doing numerous woodworking projects. He loved fishing down by the river, snowmobiling, traveling and spending time with family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Munich, St. Joseph's Men's Society and the St. Leo Court 786 Catholic Order of Foresters.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Dorothy Rademacher of New Munich; children, Janice (Alvin) Wuertz of Lake Henry, Susan (Jim) Anderson of Belgrade, Sharon (Larrie) Rosen of New Munich, Kevin (Dina) Rademacher of Northfield, Arlene (Sonny) Kosloske of Sauk Rapids, Joseph (Lu) Rademacher of New Munich, Jeffrey (Sherri) Rademacher of New Munich, Marvin (Karen) Rademacher of Spring Hill, and Kathy (Blaine) Michael of Beaverton, OR; and 26 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents; son, Dale Rademacher; grandson, Jason Rademacher; brothers, Virgil Rademacher and Vernon Rademacher; and sisters, Aurelia Feldewerd and Eileen Kuhl.

Serving as casket bearers will be Nicholas Wuertz, Grant Anderson, Nathan Rademacher, Kevin Rademacher, Jr., Ethan Rosen, and Brent Rademacher. Cross bearer will be Gregg Rademacher and scripture bearer will be Cody Rademacher. Mass servers will be Simon Michael and Brian Rademacher and the lector will be Lu Rademacher. Interpreting the service will be Sarah Meeks. Honorary bearers will be the St. Joseph's Men's Society and the Catholic Order of Foresters.
