Phyllis E. Miller, age 90 of Sauk Centre, died Sunday, April 6, 2014 at the CentraCare Health System Nursing Home in Sauk Centre, Minnesota.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Friday, April 11 at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church in Sauk Centre with Rev. James Statz officiating. Inurnment will follow in St. Paul's Cemetery in Sauk Centre.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
Phyllis E. Majerus was born August 14, 1923 in Brooten, Minnesota to John and Olive Majerus. After completing high school, Phyllis attended the Minnesota School of Business and worked in Minneapolis after graduating. She was united in marriage to Alex Miller on September 18, 1947 at the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Sedan, Minnesota. The couple farmed Southwest of Sauk Centre and Phyllis worked at Unger Furniture. In the 1960s Phyllis moved to Sacramento, California returning to Sauk Centre 30 years later. She enjoyed playing cards, trips to the casino, and going shopping. Phyllis was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church.
Survivors include her brother, Jim Majerus of Glenwood; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Alex Miller on October 27, 2004; parents, John and Olive Majerus; and sisters, Delores Majerus, Marie Wildes, and Lorraine Stunes.
