Paul Edward Borgmann was born December 22, 1934 in Sauk Centre, Minnesota to Arthur and Alvina (Schriver) Borgmann. Paul, the second of seven boys, was born and raised on the Borgmann Dairy farm. He was a 1952 graduate of Sauk Centre High School. That same year he became a partner in the family dairy farm. On June 1, 1957 he married Pat Kennedy at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Sauk Centre. The couple continued to work on the farm, bottling milk and selling it door-to-door until 1969, when the bottling operation was sold to Purity Dairy out of St. Cloud. Paul milked cows until 1996 and he farmed the land until he retired in 2003. During his retirement, Paul was able to enjoy his many hobbies including: building birdhouses, wood crafting and growing acres of sweet corn to share with family and friends. His love of the land spilled over to his love of gardening, especially gladiolas. Paul loved life and lived it to its fullest by maximizing every minute doing the things he loved. He worked hard and played hard! He was a competitive card player and bowler and enjoyed golf. Paul was a people person with a twinkle in his eye and a smile for everyone. He treasured his wife and family and enjoyed spending time with them, especially with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Paul was a member of Our Lady of the Angel's Catholic Church, Bishop Busch Council 4863 Knights of Columbus, and the Sauk Centre Lions. He served on the parish council and was a mass server. Paul was also very active with Meals on Wheels and Let's Go Fishing.
