Patsye Denne

Patsye Jo Denne, age 67, of Grey Eagle, died from complications from surgery on Thursday, January 27, 2011 at the University of Minnesota Fairview Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, January 31 at the Grey Eagle United Methodist Church with Rev. Gary Taylor officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date.

Visitation will be from 11 to 1 p.m. on Monday at the church in Grey Eagle.

Patsye Jo Denne was born November 16, 1943 in Wilson, Arkansas to Chessie Van and Iraconsula "Connie" (Morris) Jones. She has made her home on Little Birch Lake in Grey Eagle for the last 15 years.

She was an active member of the Grey Eagle United Methodist Church. She enjoyed her flower gardens, living at the lake, her dogs, and watching football. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and watching her grandchildren at their sporting events.

Survivors include her significant other, Tom Blais of Grey Eagle; her children, Joe Denne of Otsego, Nicole (Kevin) Gross of Maple Grove, Moneque Gacke of Zimmerman, and Melinda (Nash) Alam of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Joshua, Brendan, Jordyn, Jordan, Logan, Zyah, Mikya, and Morgan; sister, Dorothy "Inez" (Ben) Vizzier of Huntsville, Alabama; and ex-husband, Jerry Denne of St. Cloud.

Patsye was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; and three sisters.

Serving as casket bearers will be Tony T. Blais, Joshua Gross, Brendan Denne, Jordan Gross, Jordyn Denne, and Logan Gacke.
