Patrick E. "Pat" Bailey, age 82 of Sauk Centre, formerly of St. Paul, died Thursday, September 30, 2010 at St. Michael's Nursing Home in Sauk Centre, Minnesota.
Memorial Services will be 5 p.m. Thursday, October 7 at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre with Deacon Tom McFadden officiating. Inurnment will be held privately at a later date. Military Honors were provided by the Sauk Centre United Veterans Honor Guard.
Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Thursday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
Patrick Edward Bailey was born November 1, 1927 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Patrick and Amalia (Muelbauer) Bailey. He grew up in the Midway area and graduated from Cretin High School in 1946. Pat was a WWII veteran serving in the Navy, and later became a member of the Sauk Centre American Legion Post 67. He was united in marriage to Yvonne Tereau and moved to the east side of St. Paul where they raised three children. Pat was a plumber in St. Paul and belonged to the Plumbers Local 34. Pat retired from plumbing and moved to Sauk Centre, and had spent the last four years at St. Michael's Nursing Home.
Survivors include his children, Pamela Engelun of Minneapolis, Jim (Marie) Bailey of Hastings, and Karen Leko of Cottage Grove; eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; many loving relatives and friends.
Pat was preceded in death by his wife, Yvonne Bailey on February 1, 2004; parents; three infant children; brother, Tom Bailey; and son-in-law, Thomas Leko, Jr.
