Patricia C. “Patty” Seifert , age 57 of Grey Eagle, passed away unexpectedly, surrounded by her family on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at the St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud, Minnesota.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 3 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Grey Eagle with Rev. Ronald Dockendorf officiating. Inurnment will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church in Grey Eagle with a rosary at 9 a.m. by the Christian Women.
Patricia Catherine Seifert was born March 9, 1962 in Long Prairie, Minnesota to Francis and Mary Anne (Blasey) Seifert. She graduated from Grey Eagle High School and continued her education at Moorhead State University. She began working in the Twin Cities at Unisys as a computer programmer and then at Quicksilver as a courier. Currently she was working at Update Building Supplies in Grey Eagle as a bookkeeper.
Patty was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Grey Eagle where she was a lector, Eucharistic Minister, and sang in the choir. She helped out with the church’s annual Auction/Dinner, was very active with Catholic United Financial, and secretary of the Christian Women. She enjoyed politics and was involved in the Republican party. In her younger years, she enjoyed volleyball. Patty could always be counted on to help out in any capacity. She will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her brothers and sisters, Mary Anne (Bernie) Schroeder, Trudy (Jerry) McCornack, Jim (Margie) Seifert, Charles (Diane) Seifert, Tony (Maddie) Seifert, Agnes (Jim) Jensen, Loretta Winter, and Richard (Cheryl) Seifert; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Patty was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Marie Seifert; and brother, John Seifert.
