Ottillia B. "Tillie" LeClaire, age 86 of New Munich died Saturday, March 27, 2004 at Mother of Mercy Nursing Home in Albany.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 31 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Munich. Rev. Roger Klassen, OSB and Rev. Julius Beckermann, OSB will concelebrate with interment following in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the church in New Munich.

Ottillia LeClaire was born on October 14, 1917 in Cold Spring, Minnesota to John and Barbara (Hartig) Scherer. She was united in marriage to Louis L. LeClaire on December 22, 1938 in Cold Spring, Minnesota. She was a homemaker all her life who enjoyed gardening and flowers. Ottillia was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Munich and St. Anne's Christian Mothers.

Survivors include her children, Terry LeClaire and his wife, Kathy of Melrose, Jean LeClaire of St. Cloud, Dave LeClaire and his wife, Ann of Hutchinson, Pete LeClaire and his wife, Toni of Melrose, Cathy Pelka and her husband, Donald of St. Wendel, Rich LeClaire and his wife, Nina of Monticello, Basil LeClaire and his wife, Sharon of Brainerd, Boniface LeClaire of St. Cloud, and Reuben LeClaire of New Munich; 27 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; sisters, LaVerne Toleffson of Sauk Rapids, Phyllis Milks of Gawanda, NY, Ida Casey of Minnesota, and Grace Johnson of Isanti.

Ottillia was preceded in death by her parents, John and Barbara Scherer; husband, Louis LeClaire on February 4, 1996; sons, Celestine LeClaire and Louis LeClaire, Jr.; granddaughter, Rebecca LeClaire; brothers, Louis Scherer and Mike Scherer; sisters, Frances Sinderman and Betty Marty.

Serving as casket bearers will be Jason LeClaire, Chuck LeClaire, Nathan Ecklund, Leo Schaeffers, John Pelka and Michelle Ambriz-Becerra. Serving as cross bearer will be Michele Pelka.
