Olivia M. "Ollie" Hoeschen, age 101 of Freeport, died Thursday, June 21, 2007 at the Mother of Mercy Nursing Home in Albany, Minnesota.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 25 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Freeport with Rev. Art Hoppe officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the church in Freeport.
Olivia Hoeschen was born August 31, 1905 in Jacobs Prairie, Minnesota to Jacob and Maria (Joa) Brixius. On October 11, 1932 she married Henry L. Hoeschen at St. Benedict's Catholic Church in Avon. Ollie was a homemaker most of her life. She worked at Pine Villa Care Center for two years. She enjoyed crocheting doilies and loved flowers. She would use her own flowers to decorate the church. Ollie was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Freeport, Christian Mothers, and the Goldenaires Senior Citizens.
Survivors include her sister, Constance Goebel and her husband, William of New Ulm; and many nieces and nephews.
Olivia was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Henry Hoeschen on December 1, 1962; and sisters, Eleanor Reinke and Florina Dobmeier.
Serving as casket bearers will be Melvin Hoeschen, Robert Hoeschen, Walter Hoeschen, Korey Dobmeier, Ron Roelike, and Jerry Wiechman. Serving as cross bearer will be Dorothy Brodie. Honorary bearers will be the Christian Mothers and Goldenaires Senior Citizens.
