Norbert F. "Norb" Lindemann, age 89 of Sauk Centre, died Thursday, April 20, 2017 at CentraCare Health Nursing Home in Sauk Centre, Minnesota.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, April 22 at River of Life Church in Sauk Centre with Rev. Kyle Peterson officiating. Private family inurnment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Sauk Centre.
Visitation will be from 3:30 to 4 p.m. and continue with dinner following the service.
Norbert Fredrick Lindemann was born March 16, 1928 in Melrose, Minnesota to Michael and Margaret (Winters) Lindemann. He served one enlistment in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Following his military service, he was a DHIA milk supervisor and tested cattle for the University of Minnesota Extension Service. He married Dorothy Watkins on April 30, 1955 at the Church of St. Philip in Litchfield, Minnesota. The couple farmed near Sauk Centre in Ashley Township, Stearns County. In 1992, they helped their daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Rick Cline, take over the family farm. They continued to help with the farm where they all still live.
Norb enjoyed taking road trips with his family, square dancing with Dorothy, trips to the casino, and traveling to locations across the country. He was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church in Sauk Centre.
Survivors include his wife of nearly 62 years, Dorothy Lindemann of Sauk Centre; two children, Cheryl (Rick) Cline of Sauk Centre and Duane Lindemann of Sauk Centre; three grandchildren, Jim, Jake, and Jessica Cline; brothers and sister, Howard (Janet) Lindemann of Alexandria, Albert (Myrna) Lindemann of Avon, Vernon Lindemann of Sauk Centre, and Lorraine Kollman of Sauk Centre; brother-in-law, LeRoy Wolbeck of Sauk Centre.
He was preceded in death by sisters, Irene Wolbeck and Erma Armstrong; and brother, Donald Lindemann.
