Nicholas B. "Nick" Moscho, age 81of St. Martin, died peacefully on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at his home in St. Martin, Minnesota.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at St. Martin Catholic Church in St. Martin with Rev. Corwin Collins, O.S.B. officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Martin Parish Center in St. Martin. Knights of Columbus and St. Joseph's Society will pray at 6 p.m. followed by parish prayers at 7 p.m. Tuesday evening at the parish center.

Nicholas Bernard Moscho was born March 15, 1929 in St. Martin Township, Stearns County, Minnesota to Nicholas and Rose (Kollmann) Moscho. He married Elizabeth "Betty" Primus on September 4, 1951 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Melrose. Nick and Betty were the 4th generation to take over the Moscho homestead where they raised their family. Nick's passion for farming continued throughout his retirement and he especially enjoyed the harvest and passing his legacy to the next generation. He loved his wife and family and treasured the time he had with them. Nick enjoyed playing cards, traveling, fishing, and shopping for cars.

He was a member and longtime usher of St. Martin Catholic Church in St. Martin, St. Joseph's Society, and the Knights of Columbus.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 59 years, Betty Moscho of St. Martin; children, Jan (Tony) Schmitt of Paynesville, Audrey (Ron) Wensmann of Richmond, Doris (Steve) Lieser of Paynesville, Duane (Ruth) Moscho of Spring Hill, Ralph (Angie) Moscho of Luxemburg, Ken Moscho of Sauk Centre, Glen (Mary) Moscho of St. Martin, and Shelly (Kellan) Hemmesch of Sartell; 26 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; sisters, Katherine Funk of Albany, Irene Schultzetenberg of Albany, Rosie Hinnenkamp of Brooten, and Virginia Fuchs of Paynesville.

Nick was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Connie Moscho on July 29, 1979; granddaughter, Amber Moscho; brothers, Joseph Moscho and Wilfred Moscho; and sister, Marie Klassen.

Serving as casket bearers will be Nick's children, Jan Schmitt, Audrey Wensmann, Doris Lieser, Duane Moscho, Ralph Moscho, Ken Moscho, Glen Moscho, and Shelly Hemmesch. Cross bearer will be Chris Moscho and scripture bearer will be Kalvin Moscho. Serving as readers will be Corey Schmitt, Ryan Moscho, and Brandon Moscho.
